Support Crossroads Community

At Crossroads, we work to unite our community in the fight to end hunger and homelessness. With your support, we can continue serving warm meals and fresh groceries to New Yorkers in need. We accept donations in a number of different formats.

Rising food prices are forcing New Yorkers struggling to feed themselves and their families to rely more on food banks and pantries. A recent poll by City Harvest and United Way NYC found that 87% of respondents anticipate turning to food pantries and food banks more often in the coming months.

As a 95% volunteer-run organization, the majority of your kind support goes directly toward ensuring our food-insecure neighbors are able to meet their basic needs.

The need is real. Become a sponsor to help us meet the need for our guests.

Other Ways to Donate

  • Amazon Smile

When you shop on Amazon Smile and choose Crossroads Community as your organization of choice, Amazon will donate 0.5% of sales to us at no cost to you. And make sure to use www.smile.amazon.com when you shop!

  • Facebook

Facebook fundraisers are a great way to rally your community to support Crossroads. Find us on Facebook and start a fundraiser—be sure to tag us on Facebook and link to our Donate page.

  • Check

Make out checks to Crossroads Community Services Inc. and mail them to 325 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10022. Contact us with questions.

  • Company Match

Doubling the impact of your donations through a company match is a great idea. The best way to find out if your company has a matching gift program is to ask your employer or HR department about the process. We would be glad to provide any helpful information.

  • Legacy Giving

For 30 years, we’ve been providing warm, nutritious meals and healthy groceries for our guests. Now we're looking ahead to the next 30. We are especially grateful to donors who would like to establish a legacy gift to support the sustainability of our important work. Please reach out to our Executive Director, Jesse Ramos, to discuss how to get involved.

Food Donation Guidelines

If you would like to donate food, please contact our Donations Liaison, Camille Greenwald, at donations@crossroadsnyc.org so we can discuss the kinds of food that will help our guests and their families thrive.

However, if you're looking for the best way to support us, we ask that you consider a monetary donation, rather than going out and buying new food.

The reason is buying power.  We have access to food at discounted prices, so your money will go a lot farther.  For instance, the average retail price of a bag of rice is $1.25.  We pay $0.62.  The average retail for a can of tuna is $1.80.  We pay $0.72.

So, a cash donation actually helps more people than taking a trip the grocery store.  To donate, just visit our Donate Page.

If you don’t feel comfortable making a monetary donation, we understand.  Just write to Camille at the address above to arrange a food donation.

For dietary and safety reasons, here are some items we cannot accept:
